The Philippines has joined the MUBA 2013 trade fair in Basel, Switzerland, that runs from 22 February to 3 March 2013.
The MUBA, an annual international consumer fair in Basel and
considered the “Mother of all Fairs”, boasts of a wide
participation from more than 800 international and local
exhibitors featuring products and
services like fashion/clothing,
jewelry, food /drinks, tourism,
construction/household/garden, sports and wellness.
The Philippines was MUBA’s guest country in 2009. Our showcase of
culture, products and services then was considered as
MUBA’s “best guest country experience” so far.
In MUBA 2013, the featured guest countries are Indonesia and Hungary.
The Philippine booths in the on-going fair, featuring 5 Philippine
exhibitors have drawn visitors to the uniqueness and charm
of Philippine culture. Philippine products on display and
for sale are foodstuff, , fashion jewelry
including pearls, coffee (from Batangas, Sagada and
Benguet), wood items (for construction), Filipiniana
costumes, ornaments, and other Filipino items.
The Philippine-Swiss Business Council Vice-Chair Mr. Urs Hebeisen, in
cooperation with Ambassador Baja of the Philippine Embassy in Berne,
