The Philippines has joined the MUBA 2013 trade fair in Basel, Switzerland, that runs from 22 February to 3 March 2013.

The MUBA,  an annual international consumer fair in Basel and considered the “Mother of all Fairs”,  boasts of a wide participation from  more than 800  international and local exhibitors   featuring   products and services  like   fashion/clothing,  jewelry,   food /drinks,  tourism,  construction/household/garden, sports and wellness.

The Philippines was MUBA’s guest country in 2009.  Our showcase of culture, products and services then was considered as   MUBA’s “best guest country experience” so far.
In MUBA 2013, the featured guest countries are Indonesia and Hungary.
The Philippine booths in the on-going fair, featuring 5 Philippine exhibitors have drawn visitors to the uniqueness   and charm of Philippine culture.  Philippine products on  display and for sale are   foodstuff, ,  fashion jewelry  including pearls,  coffee (from Batangas, Sagada and  Benguet),  wood items (for construction),  Filipiniana costumes,  ornaments,  and other   Filipino items.

The Philippine-Swiss Business Council Vice-Chair Mr. Urs Hebeisen, in cooperation with Ambassador Baja of the Philippine Embassy in Berne, Switzerland, took the lead in organizing the Philippine presence in this event.
