welcome the new chaplain of the Philippine Catholic Mission
On 2 September 2012, a welcome mass was held in Zurich officiated
by, Fr. Antonio P. Enerio, SVD, as a start of his work as the new
chaplain of the Philippine Catholic Mission. The mass was
attended by Ambassador Leslie Baja and staff of the Philippine Embassy,
various Filipino communities in Switzerland and some members of the
During his speech towards the end of the mass, Ambassador Leslie Baja
called on the Philippine Catholic Mission in Switzerland for unity and
to work together in promoting the catholic faith.
“I thank you all for coming today and showing your support to the
Philippine Chaplaincy as an institution which the Filipino community in
Switzerland can rally behind and work together, for it is only
through unity and concerted efforts can we truly achieve progress and
gain recognition as a nation,” said Ambassador Baja.
Ambassador Baja appealed to the Filipinos to set aside their
differences and work towards a common good that is upholding the

Filipino community handed over the collections at the mass amounting to
CHF 1,190.80 and USD 20.00, as donation to the victims of the recent
typhoon in the Philippines.
