Zürich says “It’s more fun in the Philippines!”
The Philippines’ new
tourism slogan It’s more fun in the Philippines was presented at the
“Around the Globe 2012” networking event held in Zürich on 26 March
The famous annual roadshow was organized by the renowned luxury hotel
representation Lobster Experience, established in 2007 by Astrid
Oberhummer, who has had more than twenty years of experience in the
luxury hotel industry before establishing her present company.
The event, which was attended by over 100 tour operators, travel
journalists and professional sales people from the luxury hotel
industry, presented more than 20 hotels and resorts from across the
globe, and two tourism boards - the Philippines and Dubai.

attended the event in support of the Department of Tourism which was
represented by Mr. Daks Fernandez. Attendees flocked the DOT
stand and gamely requested for the brightly colored bags with the new
The week-long roadshow took the participating hotel groups and tourism
boards to six German-speaking cities of Munich, Hanover, Cologne and
Hamburg in Germany, Zurich in Switzerland, and Vienna in Austria.
Switzerland is the fourth biggest source of European tourists to the
Philippines. A number of resorts in the country are partly owned
by Swiss nationals. The Swiss hotel chain Mövenpick has
established itself in the former Cebu Hilton in Mactan Island and is
planning further expansion in the country.
